Each painting requires individual handling and careful packaging to ensure its safe arrival. Please allow 10 days for processing and shipment. Shipping costs will vary depending on the size and destination of the painting. After a purchase is made, or upon request, we will obtain a shipping quote from UPS and provide the final shipping cost before processing the order.

Tom Szewc’s Field Studies are original "en plein air" paintings, created outdoors on location throughout Western North Carolina. These works were painted directly from life, capturing the natural beauty and atmosphere of a scene in real time. For a period, Tom joined a group of local artists in traveling to various locations, setting up their easels, and painting together in the open air.

If a Field Study particularly resonated with him, Tom would later recreate the scene as a larger, more detailed studio painting. These studio pieces allowed him to refine his vision, adding depth and additional elements while preserving the essence of the original Field Study. Each of these works represents a moment of artistic inspiration—whether captured in the field or expanded upon in the studio.
